An unsung East End destination

Comprising the north-eastern part of Stratford in East London, Maryland is a location on the up. Ever since the London 2012 Olympics a sense of local pride has pervaded, and today it's delightful area to visit, with excellent transport links and shopping - the latter thanks in large part to the Westfield Shopping Centre.

Get out and about in Stratford

Again since 2012, Stratford has been the recipient of a great deal of regeneration and public art projects, making it a great place to explore. From "Robert", the restored historic steam engine which is now installed outside Stratford Station, to the Stratford Centre and Olympic Park itself, there's plenty to see and do.

Head into the City

Liverpool Street Station is just 10 minutes away from Maryland Station by rail, and trains depart every 10 minutes. This puts the City of London within very easy reach. The station - one of the busiest in London - is a sight to behold itself, while all manner of attractions, from the Gherkin to the Bank of England Museum are within walking distance.

Travelodge London Stratford Hotel lies conveniently between Maryland and the Olympic Park, while Travelodge London Ilford Hotel to the east and Travelodge London Bethnal Green Hotel to the west are both worth investigating.
