The Greater London gem of Chislehurst

Chislehurst has some great restaurant chains and a good handful of shops, but still retains its seemingly-endless rustic charm. Although sitting in the Greater London borough of Bromley, the town is nestled among woodlands, commons and country lanes, so has some great outdoor spaces to go exploring or sit back within and relax.

Go back in time at Chislehurst Caves

Head on a lamp-lit tour of these thought-provoking man-made caves. More than 30 metres underground, the network of caves and tunnels covers almost 15 acres and when you head on a tour you can find all about how they've been used during different points in history, particularly how they were used by Brits to hide during the Blitz in WWII. There's also a well-priced cafe serving up some tasty refreshments.

Central London, just minutes away

It's just over half an hour away by direct train to London's Charing Cross and Victoria stations where you can indulge in the lights of the big city. Take in a West End show, visit the British Museum or take some pictures outside Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. Planning a trip to Chislehurst?
