A must for any Dad's Army fan, Thetford is where one of the greatest British comedies of all time was filmed. Take a trip to the Dad's Army Museum, which features many photos, scripts, letters and props from the original series. There's even a walking tour complete with a viewing of Jones' van and a visit to some of the many filming locations around the town.
Go Ape in Thetford
Pack a picnic along with your most daring attitude and head to the Go Ape adventure park. The course is split into five sections, with some beginner level and some more advanced. For those who aren't so keen on heights, there's a restaurant and cafe to enjoy, so you won't be left out in the cold.

Founded in the early 12th century, the Thetford Priory was one of the largest monasteries in medieval England. Be transported back in time as you wander around the stunning atmospheric ruins. Parking is free and dogs are allowed.
