Explore the city from Peterborough City Hospital

Opened in 2010, Peterborough City Hospital is a new health complex with state-of-the-art equipment and great facilities.

Full of character, Peterborough is not short of things to do, see and taste. Enjoy dinner in some of the most contemporary restaurants outside of London, enjoy retail therapy in vintage boutiques or peruse the huge shopping centre.

A town fit for a queen

Peterborough is well known for its stunning and historic cathedral and once you catch a glimpse of it, you'll understand why. The structure holds a huge amount of history dating back to 654 AD and is the resting place of two monarchs - Mary Queen of Scots and Katherine of Aragon. You can enjoy a tour of the cathedral and learn more of its history while taking in the stunning architecture of this beautiful building.

The great outdoors

Part of the Nene Park Trust, Ferry Meadows Park is just a 10-minute drive from the hospital, and is bursting to the seems with outdoor pursuits. Walk or cycle through the meadows, head out horseriding, take a trip on a train, or why not spend the day fishing? The opportunities in the woodlands and wetlands are seemingly never ending.
