A day out in Doncaster

Home to the Rovers, Doncaster's much-loved local football team, Keepmoat Stadium is located just south-east of the town centre. Doncaster Museum and Art Gallery contains a fascinating collection of local history, while Cast is the town's new home for theatre, playing host to internationally acclaimed companies and touring West End shows. For proper Yorkshire nightlife, head to Silver Street and Cleveland Street, dotted with friendly, buzzing bars and clubs.

Go wild at Yorkshire Wildlife Park

Hop in the car from Keepmoat Stadium and you can be at the amazing Yorkshire Wildlife Park in under 15 minutes. Opened in 2009, it's a walk-through safari that's perfect for families thanks to its wide range of animals, from the only polar bears in England to ferocious lions and cheeky lemurs. The fun play area will keep little ones busy, while the on-site restaurant serves up delicious South American cuisine.

Walk the Peaks
