Welcome to Mexborough

Mexborough is a formerly industrial town in the heart of South Yorkshire, historically a part of the West Riding. The area was a densely populated home of Brigantian tribes in ancient history. The town's economy swelled with the expansion of coal mining, quarrying and masonry during the industrial revolution. It lies to the north-east of Sheffield, and west of Doncaster.
