Glass-blowing in the Black Country

Get the best of both worlds in Stourbridge. You're close to busy Birmingham while still being surrounded by glorious countryside, where strolls along the canal are a popular pastime. The town is best known for its glass-making industry. You can explore its past at the Red House Glass Cone, which was used for the manufacture of glass until 1936. Today you can watch craftsmen blowing molten glass into shape during live demos.
