Things to do in and around Barton

Burwash Manor is a group of converted farm buildings housing a selection of independent shops, selling everything from jewellery to homeware to organic produce. If hitting the shops isn't for you, there are also a number of signposted walks around the farm, and it hosts regular events aimed at teaching visitors about the traditional ways of the countryside.

Traditional village pubs

The very best English villages have some of the very best pubs, and Barton is no exception. The White Horse Inn is a relaxed, family-friendly pub with a cosy fireplace in winter and a pretty patio garden for those long summer days. The Hoops is a friendly village pub with proud links to the local rugby club, while The Red Bull is a kids' delight, offering authentic Italian stone-baked pizzas.

Animal attractions

Enjoy a great day out at the award-winning Shepreth Wildlife Park, with its wide range of animals including tigers, red pandas, birds of prey, otters and lemurs. The entrance fee includes access to the daily animal feeds and talks where you can learn all about the park's conservation efforts.
