Surrey Quays - a fresh-faced district on the bank of the Thames

Surry Quays is a residential area in the Rotherhithe area of Southwark, south London, dotted with retail and dining outlets. Historically, it was the site of the Surrey Commercial Docks, which operated until 1970. Following their closure, most of the area was derelict for more than 10 years, until a massive development project took place over the 80s and 90s.
