Treat yourself at Deepdale

Deepdale, a large retail complex in the centre of Preston, offers a wide range of brilliant shopping opportunities, and is easily accessible by both car and public transport. Some of its big names include Next, New Look, River Island and M&S. Once you've shopped yourself silly, there are many popular places to eat and refresh yourself, such as Subway, Frankie and Benny's, and Pizza Hut.

Welcome to Preston

An ancient guild city, the historic beauty of Preston seeps from every brick and cobblestone. With beautiful green spaces like Avenham and Miller Parks, fascinating historical sites like the Harris Museum, the recently revitalised docks area, and countless shops, bars and eateries to try, your visit to Preston is always sure to be an enjoyable one. Its vibrancy and beauty makes Preston a popular base to explore more of Lancashire's highlights, such as the British Commercial Vehicle Museum and Samlesbury Hall.

See the Lancashire Infantry Museum

The Lancashire Infantry Museum, just north of Preston city centre, is the largest regimental archive and military research centre in north England. The huge collection of artefacts, records, and displays tells the fascinating and often harrowing story of the Lancashire Regiments, from their formation in the 1600s to the modern operations of the Lancashire Lads. It's also home to the Salamanca Eagle, one of the most prized trophies of war in British history, dating back to 1812.
