Welcome to Broughton

Broughton is a rustic, homely village in Lancashire, just outside the city of Preston. The land it now stands on was once owned by Tostig Godwinson, brother of Harold Godwinson, who defended England from the Normans at the Battle of Hastings. The area changed hands between various nobles and aristocrats, before finally becoming its own parish in the late 1800s.
