Seven miles from Whaley Bridge in Buxton, Poole's Cavern and Country Park has been known as 'first wonder of the Peak' since the cavern first featured in a travel guide in 1630. Now with expert guides on hand and illuminated chambers to light the way, the cavern may seem spooky, but is a great attraction for all ages. And when you're back from down below, the Country Park makes for a lovely scenic stroll.
