See more of Stockport

A borough in the south-east corner of Manchester, Stockport is always worth visiting when you're passing through the area. Steeped in history, the borough boasts almost 400 listed buildings, and one of the most famous viaducts in Britain. Though it has many modern amenities and retail parks like Merseyway Shopping Centre, Stockport is also fairly green, with the Etherow Park Site of Specific Scientific Interest and the Abney Hall Park nature reserve.

A cultural staple of the Manchester area, Robinsons Brewery boasts one of the oldest and most revered names in the history of British brewing. It's been based in Stockport for close to 200 years, and today offers unforgettable tours of the brewery to the public. Your visit will give you an inside look into the way that Robinsons select their distinctive ingredients, how their cereal and hopnik cooker works to bring out their flavours, and, of course, allow you to try some of its famous beer fresh from the brewery.
