The road to Wigan Pier�

Handily situated between Manchester and Liverpool, Leigh is in a plum spot to enjoy all the north west's attractions. It's a town with a rich industrial past, the legacy of which can be seen in the red brick mills that remain here. Pennington Flash Country Park is a popular hangout in the town, and there are plenty of walking trails to explore around this natural habitat. From here, take the route to the iconic Wigan Pier, strolling through the unique collection of lakes and waterways known as the Wigan Flashes.

Leigh is well known for its rugby league heritage. Leigh Sports Village is an ultra-modern leisure complex, its centrepiece being an 11,000-seater stadium where Leigh Centurions play their home games.
