A very warm Wellcome

Euston isn't short of museums, and the Wellcome Collection is one of the best. Its founder, Henry Wellcome, collected over a million medical objects in his lifetime - and they're all on display in this fascinating museum. And that's far from the only star of this central London destination, perhaps best known for its world-famous station, with national links to the North of England and Scotland.

Come face-to-face with the animal world at London Zoo

Don't miss London Zoo while you're visiting Euston. Located in Regent's Park, an 18-minute tube ride from Euston Station, the world's oldest scientific zoo is home to over 20,000 animals from 698 species. Meet the zoo's flipper-footed residents at Penguin Beach, and join the team at the otter enclosure at lunchtime. With so many interactive talks and shows on offer, you'll have plenty of things to plan your day around.

Explore the world of books

The world of books is right on your doorstep at Euston. The British Library, home to the second largest collection of books in the world, is less than 10 minutes from Euston station by foot. Boasting the Magna Carta and Shakespeare's First Folio, the library also offers exhibitions and talks on all things culture for visitors. Planning a trip to Euston? Travelodge London Central Euston Hotel sits across from the station, while the Travelodge London Central King's Cross is just five minutes away on the Underground.
