Walk with the Alpacas

Hurley is a village on the outskirts of Birmingham, situated close to the M42 with excellent transport links to both Birmingham City Centre and beyond. Within a short distance there are a number of attractions to see. Closest to home is Lucky Tails Alpaca Farm which is on the edge of the village itself. Here, provided you book in advance, you can even take an Alpaca for a walk if you wish.

Thrills and spills at Drayton Manor

If you're looking for a little more excitement, then Drayton Manor Theme Park is just 8 miles away. Make sure you hold on tight if you're brave enough to take on the rollercoasters, or for the smaller ones, there's Thomas Land, a zoo and a whole host of family rides. Booking online via their website (even just the night before) can save you 35% on buying at the gate. A wise move to make a family day more affordable.

Talk to the animals at Twycross Zoo

Any budding Dr Dolittle will love a day at Tycross Zoo. It has a huge range of animals from apes to snakes and everything in between. There are zoo keeper talks throughout the day, so it's worth checking the website in advance to make sure you don't miss learning more about your favourite fury friend. The M42 lies on the doorstep of Hurley and just north of the village you'll find Travelodge Tamworth next to junction 10.
