Explore history on the cusp of Cambridge

Found 10 miles south of Cambridge and part of the Hundred Parishes area, Duxford is a classic slice of scenic Cambridgeshire. With its historic airfield and war museum, you can see the role the RAF played in protecting Britain through World War Two and how our air defences continued to play a part through the Cold War era. It's a plane spotter's dream as you can get up close to Spitfires, a Lancaster, Concorde and the Vulcan. Feeling daring? You can even organise a flight in a classic plane.

Get away from it all in Wandlebury Country Park

Wandlebury Country Park sits at the top of the stunning Magog Hills. You can see the remains of the original circular Iron Age fort up here. Highland cattle graze and there are wildflower meadows, birds and, in the summer, beautiful butterflies.
