We take security very seriously at Travelodge and take measures to ensure that all our payment options protect our customers.
We have put a number of security steps in place to give you total confidence when booking with us:
For additional protection, we ask for your card’s security code at the point of payment. For most cards, including Visa and Mastercard, the code is the last three digits printed on the signature strip on the back of the card. For American Express, the code is the four digits printed on the front of the card above the main card number.
With regard to saved cards, it is optional to save your payment card(s) within your MyTravelodge account. We ensure your card information is safe by following industry standard secure card storage and processing procedures.
Visit our payment security section for more information.
Payment security
Verified by Visa and MasterCard® SecureCode™
Like many major online retailers we have introduced Verified by Visa and MasterCard® SecureCode™ to our website. These services allow you to protect your card details with a password when you use them online (like Chip & PIN for online credit card use).
The service is FREE and is managed by your card issuer. If your card issuer is participating in the scheme, registration will be easy; our checkout process will contain all the information you need to get you up and running.
If you can’t wait till your next Travelodge booking then you can register now by contacting your card issuer or visiting their website and asking about Verified by Visa or MasterCard® SecureCode™.
