This February, let’s celebrate Heart Month by learning CPR and supporting the lifesaving work of the British Heart Foundation!
Did you know that around 8 out of 10 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests happen at home? That’s why knowing how to perform CPR is crucial for protecting our loved ones.
The British Heart Foundation’s digital tool, RevivR™, makes learning CPR at home quick and easy. It only takes 15 minutes, and all you need is a mobile device and a pillow.
Sohel’s Story
Sohel’s story is a powerful reminder of the importance of CPR training. Sohel had a cardiac arrest at his local gym, and his life was saved thanks to the quick thinking of his instructor, Mike, who performed CPR.

Here are some tips to help significantly reduce your risk of heart disease.
💗 Get active: Regular exercise is one of the best things you can do for your heart health. Aim for 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise per week – that’s 30 minutes 5 days a week.
💗 Choosing a well-balanced diet can help reduce your risk of developing heart disease: This means eating more fruit and vegetables, nuts and seeds, wholegrains and oily fish and eating less processed meat, salt and sugar.
💗 Manage stress: Stress can contribute to heart disease. So finding healthy ways to manage your stress levels can be very important to your overall health, such as yoga, meditation or spending time in nature.
💗 Stop smoking: Studies have shown smoking is a major risk factor for heart disease.
💗 Get regular check-ups: If you notice any new or worsening symptoms and you’re worried it’s your heart, make sure you see your doctor or nurse for a check-up.
